* Full Mechanical Service and Safety Check on all cars is carried out by licensed mechanics :

Which includes the following:

- Oil Changed using a quality oil suitable for Australian climate.

- Compression test of all cylinders to determine wear in engine.

- Pressure check of cooling system to test radiator & hoses .

- Flushing of cooling system and adding of radiator coolant

- Adjusting & inspection of braking system

- Replaced if worn.

- Rotation or replacement of tyres as required, check pressure.

- Thorough check of all Lights, wipers, instruments etc .

We guarantee to buy any car over $2000 back for up to 6 months at 40% of sale price, E.G. A car bought from us for $2500 can be driven all around Australia, then we will give you $1000 back for it …..simple!!!

- Vehicle must be serviced Every 5,000 km's (Oil Change only)

- A record (receipts) for all services must be kept and produced.

- Car must be kept in roadworthy condition at all times.

- Provide a current roadworthy certificate (pass or fail is ok)

- Engine should be kept in tune and running smooth as Required.

THE FINE PRINT :
Any damage or wear to car which renders it unroadworthy must be repaired or deducted from buyback price. This includes Windscreen, Tyres and Lights etc. Any dents, scratches or damage to bodywork will be assessed by us taking into consideration its resale value .We hold the right to deduct payment for anything we deam to be serious damage. Any deterioration of pre-existing rust is not considered damage and won't be deducted.

We feel the conditions we impose are as much to your advantage as ours being based mainly on safety and reliability, and after all you may very well have bought a car that has come back into our stock as a buyback and would like to rest easy knowing it has been maintained by its former owner. Add to this the fact you may choose to sell your car privately to fellow travellers who will be well impressed with your service records and the fantastic way you have kept up all the maintenance required and you will be definately laughing all the way home !!!
Your buyback is also transferable so should you decide to drive to Cairns or Darwin and sell your car on their, the next owner only has to notify us of the transfer of buyback and we will be happy to take it back providing they follow the same conditions of buyback as specified.

And remember you are free to sell the car to anyone you like and are by no means contracted to sell back to us. We maintain that the Buyback Price is only there as a safety net should you have trouble selling on, or would like to utilize your car right up to the last day of your stay here. Most of our customers have no problems selling on for just as much, or very close to what they paid in the start !!!

IN THE EVENT OF A BREAKDOWN A MECHANIC WILL BE SENT OUT TO YOU WITH TOOLS ETC WHEREVER YOU ARE TO SOLVE PROBLEM (TOTALLY FREE SERVICE) AND IF HE CANT GET YOU GOING YOU WILL RECEIVE A "FREE" TOW TO THE NEAREST WORKSHOP.

Remember this is unlimited kilometres and is transferable to the next owner.

 

This is definately your answer to trouble free touring and has to make our cars even better value for money and the only conditions are you change oil every 5,000 km's or 3 months, as required by our buyback policy. The Warranty Company has a network of Mechanics Australia-wide (within a 50 km radius in most parts) who will take care of the entire process for you and not charge you at all *. They send the invoice directly to the warranty company for payment.......

So what happens if we experience any problems with our new car??

GOOD QUESTION ...... At Travellers Mate we "stand behind" all our cars we sell and have a 5 day trial offer * after you buy. We always advise you to take a day/weekend trip to the Blue Mountains or Royal National Park as a "test drive" for you and your car before setting out on any long distance or interstate travels .If you should experience any problems at all that we may have missed or that occur we will (A) gladly rectify to your satisfaction. Further to this if you are still unhappy we will (B) find you an alternate car or (C) refund your money in full providing the damage or problem caused wasn't through abuse or neglect on your part. At the same time you should remember you are buying an "old car" and should not expect it to be totally perfect. Our policy is that if the problem is "life threatening or trip ending " we will go out of our way to fix it. This we feel gives you great peace of mind no matter what budget you are on and is really an unbeatable offer when compared with buying privately or from notice boards.
